But they came to realise that her cultural heritage from Kingston, Jamaican was different to their own unique British background. Being proudly born and bred in South London, they wanted to add a fresh spin based on the comfort food Londoners love.
Combining their British & West-Indian heritage with their love for food and cooking, the Juici Jerk team are pioneering a new age taste of the Caribbean by offering a modern approach to the cuisine with feel-good energy.
Troy and Jarrell launched Juici Jerk in 2017 as one of the first home cooking businesses in London before it became the norm. Since opening, Juici Jerk has evolved into a street food vendor, event caterer and multi-dimensional Caribbean kitchen, specialising in serving food with authentic Jamaican flavours and adding our own modern twist.
Fast forward to 2022, Juici Jerk aims to offer a contemporary Caribbean dining experience with a contemporary twist.
